Dr. Leigh Weisz, PsyD

Dr. Leigh  Weisz is a licensed clinical psychologist who is an affiliate at The Family Institute at Northwestern University.  She has experience working with children,adolescents, families, and individual adults. She earned her graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with a speciality in children and families.  Dr. Weisz earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and graduated with honors. Dr. Weisz has practiced in community mental health, hospital and in outpatient family medicine practice settings. She completed a clinical fellowship at the Chicago Center for Family Health, working with children, families, couples and individual adults. She has experience in the area of psychological and psycho-educational assessment of children and adolescents.

Clinical Interests: Testing for autism, aspergers and learning disorders. Young adults; child and adolescent family therapy; parenting; play therapy; attachment issues; grief and loss; divorce; illness; anxiety disorders; relationship problems

Michelle Bagan Winterstein, LCSW

Michelle Bagan Winterstein is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families.  Michelle received her Masters of Social Work degree from New York University and graduated with honors. Michelle has practiced in both hospital and outpatient therapy settings. She has extensive experience working with children and families with a variety emotional challenges. Michelle also has a specialization in childhood obesity and is trained in both readiness to change and motivational interviewing.

Clinical Interests: Behavior therapy of young children; adjustment disorders; parenting and play therapy;  anxiety; divorce; social challenges; death and loss
